In an impressively short space of time, Reno-based Peg’s Glorified Ham n Eggs stripped the former Biscuits Cafe to the bones, remodeled, and is now very close to a debut on the westside in the Lakes.
The huge hit in northern Nevada launched a Henderson expansion in September of last year.
Announcing the new 4,480-square-foot corner spot is “almost open,” the breakfast-and-lunch restaurant has been sharing images of its interior and aqua blue booths.
Expected to follow the company tradition of serving from 6.30 a.m. to 2 p.m., the retail center site is easy to spot and offers plenty of parking spaces close to the intersection of Durango Drive and Sahara Avenue.
Promoting a menu of “glorified” food and “egg-cellent service,” Peg’s specializes in generous portions and plenty of comfort food and breakfast favorites, plus “‘Aloha’ from Hawaii” choices including lcoo moco and fried spam and eggs.
Lunch includes sandwiches, burgers, skillets, and tacos and for diners who can’t choose between the menus, the “Peg’s Breakfast Burger,” created with sliced ham, egg, hash browns, and cheddar cheese.
