The food hall to end all food halls now dishes out hot chicken, pork sandwiches, Vietnamese chicken wings, doughnuts, and sushi and hand rolls. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ new dining hall Block 16 Urban Food Hall takes over the second level of the resort, near Marquee, with a roster of dining outlets new to Las Vegas.
The food hall sits on the second level of the Boulevard Tower, taking over a portion of the former sports book next to Marquee.
The five restaurants have hours that span 6 a.m. to 4 a.m., with doughnuts and breakfast delights in the morning, pouring into the remaining four restaurants opening for lunch into the late, late shift when partiers depart the nightclub.
Hattie B’s Hot Chicken from Nashville offers its namesake hot chicken, Southern sides, and local brews in a counter-service setting. Diners can order their chicken with melted spices in heat levels from Southern (no heat), mild, medium, hot, damn hot, and Shut the Cluck Up. Pimento mac and cheese, Southern greens, and banana pudding make the menu.

Lardo from Portland chef Rick Gencarelli brings over-the-top sandwiches primarily made from pork. Highlights include the griddled mortadella, pork meatball banh mi with pickled vegetables and sriracha mayo, and Lardo’s signature dirty fries, along with Portland beers on tap make the menu.

Pok Pok Wing from James Beard Award-winning chef Andy Ricker out of Portland offers Ike’s Vietnamese fish sauce wings and Som Soda made with drinking vinegars in flavors featuring ginger, Thai basil, grapefruit, and turmeric.

Finally, Las Vegas’ own Takashi Segawa of Monta Japanese Noodle House, Kabuto, and Sushi Mon fame opens Tekka Bar: Handroll & Sake, inspired by a gambling destination in Japan dating back more than 100 years ago. Tekka Ba translates to “old gambling place.” Tekka Bar debuts a signature Tekka tuna roll, featuring the restaurant’s spicy sauce, alongside sake, and handrolls prepared counter-side.

District: Donuts. Sliders. Brew. comes from New Orleans with a rotation of 100-plus flavors of doughnuts, including Chocolate Blackout and Bananas Foster. Dishes here include biscuit sandwiches and kolache, a pastry dough filled with sweet and savory ingredients. Waffle cheese fries, pork belly sliders, savory doughnuts, and coffee and espresso, including nitro cold brew, Vietnamese iced coffee, and house-made chocolate milk also make the menu.
District plans to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner options from Sunday through Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6 a.m. to midnight.
Ghost Donkey out of New York City brings a tequila and mezcal bar. Tasting flights, cocktails made with traditional Mexican spirits, and truffle nachos make the menu when it arrives later this fall.
