The Korean-owned, California-based Honeymee debuted at Fashion Show mall over the weekend with a future debut at the Grand Canal Shoppes on the way.
The menu here focuses on soft, creamy ice cream, drizzled with honey or pieces of honeycomb. The counter-service outpost takes recently shuttered GoGo Poke, better known as the former site of the Red Velvet Cafe.
Honeyee’s full menu covers matcha milkshakes, hot and iced teas, Belgian liege waffles filed with Nutella or cream cheese, and the “Babbe,” a sweet bun topped with multi-grain granola and a choice of “true milk” ice cream. Waffles with cream cheese, blueberries, and ice cream; affogatos in yuzu, matcha, and honey; the Sweetie with a swirl of honey; colored waffle cones; and exotic flavors of milkshakes such as green apple, lavender, and matcha round out the menu. Most items ring in between $4.50 and $6.50. Honeymee also sells its honey for $15 a jar.
The precise Grand Canal Shoppes location is still yet to be announced.
