Co Anh Sandwich & Noodle Kitchen
Address: 4725 Spring Mountain Road, #G
Hours: Open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
With only room enough for 28 diners, but settled into a well-known Chinatown location between Ding Tea and the Korean barbecue of Honey Pig, Co Anh Sandwich & Noodle Kitchen has debuted a casual menu that expands beyond a banh mi sandwich.
Located at the Spring Oaks Shopping Center, despite the 1,200-square-foot space, the kitchen offers a full menu for a quick snack or larger meal.
Specialties of the house include a $9.95 Hainanese chicken rice platter, the $8.95 beef stew egg noodles, shrimp flakes steamed rice cakes, pork rice rolls, and the $7.95 “xoi man,” sticky rice with shredded chicken pork terrine and Chinese sausage. The menu also features many options of rice or egg noodle soup and familiar noodle dishes.
Banhi mi baguette sandwich options include the cold deli and pâté, fried egg pork terrine, fish cake, or head cheese and pâté, with sides of pork and vegetarian buns, pork puff pastry and crispy fried pork, and shrimp egg rolls. For beverages, diners can choose from smoothies, Thai and Vietnamese coffees, and hot teas brewed by the pot.
