Very early word on the replacement moving into the shuttered former home of The Bronze Cafe on Fremont East. After a year inside The Market, both the cafe and the “Urban Grocery Store” closed for good last November amid rumors the entire 6,500-sqaure-foot space would be broken up into separate spaces available to lease.
The first tenant to emerge is Siam Square Thai Restaurant, a project with a paper history that dates back to a few days following the Bronze Cafe closure.
Siam Square is registered to Krairit Krairavee, the executive chef of Lemongrass at Aria since 2009, a native of Bangkok, and holder of a long pedigree of creating authentic Thai cuisine menus, a move that instantly makes it a restaurant to watch.
Neither the chef nor the building's owner have revealed any information about the possible switcheroo, or possible opening timeline. Siam Square would sit less a thousand feet from downtown destination Le Thai.
The Bronze Cafe menu can now be found a short walk away at Sixth Street and Carson Avenue, inside Juice Stars.
