The Strip’s Boulevard Food Court has weathered a very difficult time keeping a steady roster of locally sourced fast-casual tenants. But the soon-to-debut DJ’s Clam Shack from Key West, Florida, is hoping its East Coast reputation will be enough to keep it afloat, bolstered by an appearance on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Food Network show.
With signage up, and a vintage hot rod prominently displayed out front, the seafood specialists are expecting to be open “soon” next door to Fatburger and across Las Vegas Boulevard from the Park MGM resort.
First launched in 2009, the Las Vegas expansion is set to be open daily for lunch and dinner, featuring a $7 New England clam chowder, an $18 Maine lobster roll, a basket of Ipswich fried calms with fries for $29, and a $14 plate of garlic steamed middleneck clams.
The restaurant will also offer tacos, fish fingers, and a Key West favorite, the $11 conch fitters served with fries or coleslaw.
