A seafood restaurant at the Venetian closes a little ahead of schedule. Back in August, the Grand Canal Shoppes announced that AquaKnox would close on Jan. 19, but now diners report the restaurant already shuttered.
In August, the shopping center and resort issued a joint statement: “AquaKnox, known for fresh seafood flown in daily from around the world, joined Restaurant Row in 1999. We would like to thank AquaKnox general manager Craig Leedom, executive chef James Defraga, and the rest of their team for their hard work and dedication.
The restaurant closings come on the heels of Carnevino at the Palazzo, B&B Ristorante at the Venetian, and Otto Enoteca e Pizzeria at the Grand Canal Shoppes departing in July.
Already, the Italian restaurant The Factory Kitchen replaced B&B Ristorante at the resort, while Sixth + Mill, a pizza restaurant from The Factory Kitchen, takes the Otto space this winter.
Mott 32, the Chinese restaurant from Hong Kong, also just opened at the Palazzo.
No replacement for AquaKnox was announced. Next, Public House also closes this month at the resort.
