When frozen yogurt purveyors Pinkberry opened in 2012, right on the Strip in front of the then-Mandarin Oriental, plans called for six locations across the city. That never happened. One location opened at Boca Park, another went to the Tropicana, and a third was planned for Henderson.
Now all are gone.
On the Strip, the shop sat next to Bobby’s Burger Palace from chef Bobby Flay and featured a mural display, along with 30-plus toppings. Since opening, Mandarin Oriental converted into Waldorf Astoria, although the shop was technically part of the Shops at Crystals next door. This location stayed open until 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Pinkberry serves a tart frozen yogurt. The company started in 2005 in Los Angeles, rolling out frozen yogurt to 21 countries over the next 10 years.
For diners looking for frozen yogurt on the Strip, Go Greek Yogurt opened last July at the Palazzo near the Waterfall Atrium.
