Flavor Flav Chicken Has Already Flown Out of Henderson

Less than a month after its official debut on Henderson's Water Street, Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Vinny’s Pizza has lost its most valued asset, with the rapper, reality TV star, and Public Enemy frontman no longer connected with the restaurant.

Now known solely as Vinny’s Pizza, named after operator Vinny Cimino, the interior artwork depicting Flav with his trademark over-sized clock neck-wear has already been removed.

Replacing the former 1,430 square-foot home of 2 Dos Portillos at 139 Water St., the counter-service concept was a quirky addition to the neighborhood’s ongoing overhaul as a dining and drinking destination.

The original Vinny’s Pizza in Boulder City remains open for business.

This marks the end of the fourth outing for the Flavor Flav chicken empire, previously served for short stints at Flav’s Fried Chicken in Clinton, Iowa, Flavor Flav House of Flavor on Maryland Parkway, and an equally short-lived home inside Blondies Sports Bar & Grill at the Miracle Mile Shops. The Iowa concept was owned by Nick Cimino, brother of Vinny.
