Five years since it was first floated as headed to a possible casino venue, restaurateur Barton G. Weiss is promoting Las Vegas will be one of the next expansions for his “multi-sensory experience,” Barton G.
Launched in South Beach, Florida, in 2002 and debuting in Los Angeles in 12 years later, Barton G. will arrive in Chicago's River North neighborhood next month.
Famed for elaborate food presentations and over-sized themed props, entrees include “Lobster Pop-Tarts” served in a working toaster at the table, the “Honey Bee My Surf N Turf” dish supplied with a functional beekeeping hat, and the golden “Dolla Dolla Bills Y’all” dessert.
Weiss previously created a local LLC in December 2017 ahead of a possible Las Vegas move.
Back in 2013, former Las Vegas chef Scott Linquist of Border Grill and Dos Caminos was enlisted to oversee the proposed local space.
A possible site for the newly energized plans have not been announced, but the project and another restaurant in New York, are both promised to be “coming soon.”
