Bing Spot Café headed to Spring Valley will specialize in serving Korean-style, shaved ice bingsu dishes when it debuts before the end of the year.
The Korean restaurant announced it was “coming soon” back in March, but the operators point to “7 months of delays, meetings, and construction mishaps” slowing the transformation of a 1,308-square-foot former Blend DJ Institute store at the Apache Plaza.
The café, which plans to be ready this winter, will serve pastries, coffee, injeolmi bingo rice cake desserts, and varieties of shaved ice choices, not just traditional patbingsu options created from red beans.
The cafe’s future home in the retail center located at the corner of Fort Apache Road and Reno Avenue, has fast become a destination for a diverse collection of casual-dining outlets, including The Magic Noodle, Squeeze In, 7 Sinful Subs, and Veggy Street.
