Closed over the summer for equipment issues, Curry Hut is not be returning to the northwest, but will soon be replaced by another build-your-own bowl concept.
Encouraging fans to be patient “as we rebrand and improve our product and service offerings,” Cups & Bowls will take over the space at the Golden Desert Plaza, close to Saffron Flavors of India and the intersection of Tenaya Way and Craig Road.
Building on the original Japanese-Thai fusion menu, diners now have the extra option of creating Indian curry, or poke bowls, while ordering from a similar beverage roster of boba, fruit teas, slushes, and smoothies.
Diners choose a base of curry, rice, French fries, or lettuce, followed by proteins including chicken karaage, stewed shrimp, and fried tofu, and then add the option of Japanese curry, or red and green sauces.
Poke bowl proteins can be created with tuna, salmon, or shrimp. Also available, chicken and beef curry burritos, udon curry soup, and chicken katsu.
The restaurant plans to be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 pm. and closing at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Curry Hut, a sibling restaurant to Spring Valley’s Boba Hut and the southwest’s Sizzle Hut, launched in February of last year.
