Two new venues headed to Fremont East take over the former Don’t Tell Mama and Beauty Bar spaces, already in the demolition phase and pushing for a spring 2020 debut.
Local firm KWDG Architecture described the forthcoming Cheap Shot tavern and We All Scream as “a new and exciting themed establishment.” Together, they take over the combined 8,000-square-foot venue and also create a 2,063-square-foot outdoor seating area in the rear of the property.
Ryan Doherty, a partner in Park on Fremont on the opposite side of the street and the Commonwealth cocktail lounge, located two doors down from the construction, is listed as the sole manager of both projects.
Beauty Bar’s contentious downtown residency finally came to end earlier this year with the loss of its liquor license and receipt of an eviction notice. Don’t Tell Mama has moved less than a quarter of a mile away, to a 2,024-square foot space on the ground floor of the Neonopolis retail and entertainment center.
