Originally planned as a Henderson haven for hard-to-find craft beers, SerVehZah Craft Beer Bottle Shop & Taproom is well advanced in its updated plans to launch in the Arts District,
Inspired by the the phonetic pronunciation of “beer” in Spanish, SerVehZah will take over 2,122 square feet at the intersection of Commerce Avenue and Colorado Street, adding a 379-square-foot patio on Colorado with room for 18 patrons.
The space plans to features an indoor entertainer's “platform,” a long bar, and “Hofbräu seating,” along with 24 beers on tap and a variety of bottled and canned selections. The bar expects to be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with expanded serving hours on the weekends.
Backing the project: Tony Martinez of the local La Bonita grocery store chain and a very familiar downtown presence. Michael Cornthwaite is listed as owner of the mixed-use 1301 Commerce building, the Future Restaurant Group founder behind Downtown Cocktail Room, Scullery, 365 Tokyo, The Boozery, and Mike Morey’s Sip’n’Tip.
An estimated opening date for the taproom has not been revealed.
