Tapping into the Las Vegas community of transplanted Hawaiians and a robust local thirst for new and innovative coffee vendors, 9th Island Roastery started construction on its combination retail store and coffee shop at an easy to find location south of the Strip.
Taking over two spaces in the Wigwam Retail Center at 8480 Las Vegas Blvd. S., the new brand will specialize in Hawaiian and international blends, available for purchase, or sampled in the spacious, urban lounge-style space designed by the Arts District’s RAD studio.
For customers on the move, a drive-thru is being installed, while inside, patrons can enjoy the Aloha spirit and high-grade coffee at the main espresso service bar, or a side tasting area.
To help with the process, the store purchased a substantial Diedrich IR-12 roaster, built to roast up to 105 pounds of beans per hour.
An estimated opening date, or future hours have not been revealed.
