The Japanese and Mexican menu of Culichitown debuts in its new westside home today just as it gets ready to close its first Las Vegas expansion at the Fiesta Rancho.

The restaurant opens at 5 p.m. to test operations ahead of a grand opening on Oct. 3, Culichitown promises a “new location, new management, better service,” while keeping the upbeat atmosphere found at the chain's 15 other restaurants found across four states.

The restaurant moves into the former 7,331-square-foot Romano’s Macaroni Grill on Sahara Avenue, across from Palace Station. The restaurant did not announce its hours.

Featuring live banda and mariachi performances and Sinaloa, Mexico-inspired flavors, Culichitown launched at the Fiesta Rancho in late 2017, taking over the Garduños of Mexico, Blue Agave bar, and Club Tequila footprint. Long in the works, details of Culichitown’s replacement are expected soon.
