A new cocktail lounge joins the growing roster of projects transforming the Arts District neighborhood into the downtown “booze district.”
Lock & Key filed plans to debut a cocktail lounge on Casino Center Boulevard, designed with combination of vintage glamour and urban chic.
Overseen by Jennifer Metzger and Dillon Reese of Fremont East’s Vanguard Lounge, the 1201 S. Casino Center Blvd. location sits across from the under construction Garagiste wine bar.
Lock & Key takes its inspiration from the building's previous locksmith tenant. Repurposed safes become the tables, while a photo feature wall comes decorated with door knobs. Themed cocktails add to the ambiance.
The lounge fills 2,540 square feet inside with a bonus 3,192-square-foot outdoor patio imagined to host a rotating roster of food trucks, similar to Fergusons Downtown’s Market in the Alley.
The cocktail lounge hopes to be open daily from 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. with live music four days a week and a jukebox with music for a relaxed environment. Lock & Key did not reveal an estimated opening date.
