Osaka, Japan-born and an all-ages rival to GameWorks and Dave & Buster’s, newcomer Round1 Bowling & Amusement is set to become a Meadows Mall anchor tenant this weekend, taking over the shuttered Sears department store on the first floor.
Promoting daily opening hours of 10 a.m. until 2 a.m., long after the rest of the mall has closed for the night, Round1 will be serving food court-style snacks and value priced drinks in a separate bar area.
Launching on Saturday, Nov. 2, the 42,000-square-foot amusement center installed eight bowling lanes, four billiard tables, karaoke rooms, ticket redemption games of skill and chance, plus more than 250 arcade games, including new-to-the-region, imported Japanese machines.
Round1 plans to accommodate groups and parties, and adults can order draft and bottled beers, wine, and shoju/sake mixed drinks in a child-free environment. Among the midway-style snacks, burgers, pizza, wings, salads, nachos, churros, mozzarella sticks, and 99 cent ice cream.
