Lavo knows how to party for brunch, and with pool season coming to an end, that means the return of the party brunch. Every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through March, the Italian restaurant at the Palazzo serves a somewhat insane food menu, along with popping bottles of Champagne and party music from deejays that keeps the party going from the night before.
An appropriate way to describe it? “A neon explosion of confetti showers, wild bottle-popping presentations, and weekly themes encouraging guests to dress up, let loose, and dance the day away.”
This season, the menu includes lobster scampi pizza with fontina cheese, one pound of Maine lobster, fingerling potatoes, and garlic butter, and beef truffle sliders with black truffles, cherrywood smoked bacon, truffle cheese, and fried egg. Tournedos Rossini features eight ounces of prime filet mignon, foie gras, mushroom duxelle, and Madeira demi-glace and a 12-ounce wagyu strip steak comes crusted in 24-karat gold.
