A new restaurant with Southern fare opens in Town Square. Farmtable Kitchen & Spirits takes over the former Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar space on the western side of the outdoor shopping mall, near Guitar Center.
Cincinnati native chef Melissa Walton leads the kitchen. Her menu features chicken and waffles, sweet tea braised short ribs, orange-blossom-honey biscuits with country gravy, fried green tomatoes with smoked pepper aioli, Louisiana grilled shrimp skewers, a Nashville hot chicken with Vermont cheddar and bacon on brioche, pecan-crusted salmon with lemon bechamel, and shrimp and grits with Vermont cheddar.
The restaurant features Lavazza coffee as well as baked goods and kids’ menus. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner all make the menu.
Farmtable Kitchen & Spirits, 6587 Las Vegas Boulevard S. #196, 702-983-2900. Open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to midnight, Saturday from 9 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
