McCarran International Airport travelers now have a new dining option before they even hit the gates. Jimmy John’s just opened its first sandwich shop at the airport, as well as its first airport location. The new sandwich shop sits on the concourse level in Terminal 1, between Wendy’s and the Bud 29 Track Lounge.

The restaurant serves the full lineup of sandwiches, including newcomers Jimmy Cubano, spicy East Coast Italian, and The Frenchie with salami, capicola, provolone, and salted butter on a baguette.

Owner Eric Wharton says he plans to hire around 25 employees for the restaurant that’s open from 8 a.m. to midnight.

Other recent arrivals at McCarran include Shake Shack, the roadside burger stand, that sits in the rotunda just past security before the split to A and B Gates, and Pret A Manger, based in the UK, in Terminal 3, across from Gate E4.

Jimmy John’s, McCarran International Airport, 5757 Wayne Newton Boulevard, 702-570-8862. Open daily from 8 a.m. to midnight.
