The Las Vegas Strip currently rules the roost in the Nashville hot chicken sandwich scene, but a feisty newcomer is hoping heat-loving locals will head west for a spicy recipe.
The Hot Clucker debuts a new frills, counter-service restaurant inside the former home of Sofia’s Pizza at 7365 W. Sahara Avenue, at the intersection with Tenaya Way, across from Oyshi Sushi.
Serving heat levels of mild, medium, hot, and “no spice,” the simple Hot Clucker menu includes sides of mac and cheese, coleslaw, cheese fries, and the $5.50 chicken mac.
Diners can choose between three combos; three tenders on white bread with crinkle cut fries priced at $7.99, the $8.99 one chicken tender and single slider with fries option, and for $9.99, a meal of two sliders with pickles, onions, and fries.
Other notable Nashville hot chicken choices around the region include Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, plus Belly Bombz Korean Inspired Chicken, Slater’s 50/50, The Crack Shack, and Yardbird Southern Table & Bar.
The Hot Clucker, 7365 W. Sahara Avenue, 702-888-1001. Open Wednesday to Monday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
