Kamu Ultra Karaoke moves into the upper level of the shopping center, creating what it calls the “first high-end karaoke club on the Las Vegas Strip.”
The karaoke lounge plans to be open to all age groups from noon to 8 p.m. daily, and then shifts to an adults-only scene from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. with 40 private luxury suites and six VIP suites.
Kamu enlisted chef Chris Oh to create the dining and bottle service menu. Oh launched his latest venture, the modern Korean restaurant Um.ma., in San Francisco earlier this year. The former Escala chef and original partner in LA’s Seoul Sausage Co. operated Chingu in Honolulu and Culver City, California’s Hanjip Korean BBQ.
Gourmet hot dog specialists Dog Haus recently collaborated with the ambitious restaurateur at its eastside Las Vegas location, creating a limited-time honey-glazed chicken wings dish to benefit the No Kid Hungry charity. His future Kamu menu has yet to be revealed.
