First Those Guys Pies and its East Coast-style menu revealed a surprise expansion to Henderson. Now comes word that Spring Valley’s Amore Taste of Chicago plans to create a larger second home in the region.
Launched in 2008, close to the intersection of Durango Drive and Flamingo Road, Amore’s interior design is fanatically devoted to celebrating Chicago sports teams and serves Italian food, baby back ribs, and the self-described “best Chicago style pizza in town.”
Its second location takes over a closed TGI Fridays at 4330 E. Sunset Road, a short distance from Green Valley Parkway and Wildfire Casino & Lanes.
Amore’s owners plan to add to the existing, 6,265-square-foot restaurant, building an extra 2,700 square feet of dining area. Current plans keep the central bar, but it is unknown if the restaurant intends to add gaming in its future.
Amore Taste of Chicago’s specialties include deep dish or stuffed pizzas, baked calms, Italian beef sandwiches, chicken parmigiana, and cannoli for dessert.
Fans of New York and East Coast-style pizzas need only wait until the end of November for their personal fix, when Those Guys Pies opens its second location at the Sunset Ridge Plaza retail center, close to the intersection of Green Valley Parkway and Sunset Road.
A hit venue at The Lakes since 2012 and a spotlighted favorite of Guy Fieri on his Food Network TV show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, Those Guys Pies has a loyal following for its ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan white pies, the bacon and pineapple Maui Wowie, and the ghost pepper pizza sauce infused El Diablo.
