The long-awaited beer garden and restaurant at Ellis Island is now serving on its two levels. Naturally, The Front Yard pours beers, such as a chocolate stout and Triple Belgian straight, from sister property Ellis Island Brewery on a seasonal rotation.
The indoor/outdoor venue features a second-floor atrium with views of the Las Vegas Strip. Retractable ceiling shades, expansive windows, wood fixtures, exposed steel, low lighting, and garden walls fill out the space.
Beer-brined chicken wings, duck fat poutine, and pretzel fondue kick off the starters, while diners can go bigger with shared plates such as a charcuterie platter, seafood platter, or oysters on the half shell. Flatbreads, a flight of sausages, steak frites, horseradish-crusted salmon, a half rotisserie chicken, and porchetta make the mains. Haxen, a roasted pork hock, and schnitzel, breaded pork cutlets, bring an Oktoberfest vibe.
The menu rounds out with a muffuletta, roasted vegetable, burrata burger, or brisket sandwich.
Specialty cocktails include the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Bloody Mary and the Koval Julep with Bulleit bourbon.
Customers can even order songs through the Rockbot app that lets users be the deejay.
The Front Yard, Ellis Island, 4178 Koval Lane, 702-733-8901. Open Monday from noon to 1 a.m., Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
