Always a step above a traditional resort lobby lounge, the 24-hour, James Bond-inspired Vesper Bar has returned at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas with a new look and upgraded cocktail menu.
Building on the original silver, white, and purple design palette that has served the Cosmopolitan for more than a decade, the venue quickly replaced the single hue carpet with a floral design, and added neon signs and a collection of framed retro photographs including images of Bruce Lee, Steve McQueen, and 007 icon Roger Moore.
Filled with new upholstery, lighting, a marbled bar top, and leather and velvet seating, Vesper has long been a haven for creative mixologists. On the updated menu, customers can opt for classic or reimagined cocktails, and if they can’t decide, sample and compare smaller-sized servings of both drinks for $22.
Priced at $17 each, the standard size classy beverages include the vintage Armail concoction with a rum base and its contemporary counterpart, the Penny Black, created with Avuá Amburana and Prata Cachaça, black pepper, cardamom honey, lime, passionfruit pearls, and sparkling rosé.
The Cosmo’s own Vesper martini, invented and named by Bond author Ian Fleming, is now paired with The Spy Who loved Me, a modern spin on a martini fit for a MI6 agent.
