While Mon Restaurant Group has updated Kaiseki Sanga at the Decatur Twain Shopping Center will now debut in February, a second unmissable kaiskei experience has revealed its own opening day in Chinatown.
Chef Kaoru Azeuchi and his highly acclaimed Kaiseki Yuzu had been a unique, 30-seat destination in Silverado Ranch since 2014, attracting adventurous diners in-the-know for the seasonally inspired four-course, nine- or 10-dish meals, “created specifically” for each diner and designed never to be repeated on a future visit.
The new Kaiseki Yuzu restaurant will take over 1,800 square feet at 3900 Spring Mountain Road, behind Tofu Hut and Meet Fresh. In the works since July, the restaurant will launch with a reservation-only kaiseki menu served from January 8-17.
A “moving party” celebration is scheduled for January 18 and will also require a reservation call to 702-778-8889.
Upgrading in size from its southeast roots, early plans designated two dining sections, including 10 seats at the open kitchen and two, 12-seat dining tables, plus a second area with eight seats at the bar, and eight more inside a private dining room.
