A local vegan and vegetarian favorite at farmers markets and events around the region is making the upgrade to its first permanent restaurant.
Self-described as “compassionate food crafters,” the five-year old Garden Grill is moving into the 1,300-square-foot former home of Samurai Sam’s Teriyaki Grill at the Summerlin Gateway Plaza retail center on Lake Mead Boulevard, a short walk from the Sprouts grocery store.
A familiar presence at First Friday, Tivoli Village, and weekend festivals, a Garden Grill specialty has been its ability to make use of a portable fryer and a “100% plant based” menu highlighted by “Crispy Chick’n Sandwiches,” “Philly Cheeze Steaks,” chicken and waffles, and breakfast sandwiches, plus its very popular line of tacos including a “beer battered avocado” creation.
A potential opening date, or future operating hours have yet to be announced.
