A low-key, Japanese dining option has debuted in Henderson, serving its own spin on ramen bowl favorites a short distance across Stephanie Street from the Galleria at Sunset.
Umai Las Vegas is now open at the corner of Sunset Road and Stephanie Street, replacing the 1,382-square-foot former home of Grand Kebab at the Whitney Ranch Center.

Decorated with comic book-style panels promoting the restaurant, the appetizers include gyoza, crispy rice with tuna, takoyaki, and agedashi, deep fried tofu.
“Signature ramen” options are priced between $9.95 and $11.95 and include kimchi, curry, black garlic, or “BBQ,” each prepared in a tonkotsu broth.
Classic ramen options are all priced at $7.95, featuring shoyu, miso, and chicken flavors.
Also available, familiar sushi roll side dishes, plus stuffed jalapeño, Brussels sprouts. and soft shell crab tempura, and a “deep fried Japanese cheesecake” for dessert.
