A self-described “Cuban-Argentinian cafetería” has debuted in Henderson, creating a rare destination for Cuban sandwiches in the region.
Salsa Latina takes over 1,260 square feet at the Green Valley Town and Country retail center, located at the intersection of Green Valley Parkway and Sunset Road, tucked behind a Chevron gas station.
Sitting next door to Thai Chili, the center is already home to Sin City Smokers and Big Mamas Wings & Things.
A casual space to dine-in or take-out, the menu highlights sandwiches as its specialty, including the $7.95 Cubano, or the “Churrasquito” created with grilled beef. A “Milanese” option is prepared with fried breaded chicken and the $6.95 “Choripan” is built with “grilled Argentinian sausage and chimichurri sauce.”
“Quick bits” include croquettes, the $5.95 “Pan con Lechon,” pulled pork on bread with sliced onion, plus beef, chicken, or ham and cheese empanadas.
“Yuca fritas” and “Papa Rellena,” fried breaded mashed potato balls stuffed with ground beef, join the side orders, with phyllo dough pastries available for dessert.
