A new destination in the southwest is promising “good food for a good mood,” available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Betty’s Bistro replaces the Tipsy Coffee House at the Coronado Retail Center, close to the intersection of Sunset Road and Medical Center Street, and two doors down from Le Petit Café & Bakery.
On the casual, counter service menu, flavored lattes and frappes, smoothies, teas and “Betty’s home brewed coffee,” crème brûlée French toast, burritos, and a “bomb breakfast sandwich.”
Larger dishes overseen by chef Lanny Chin, prior to his move to Greene St. Kitchen at the Palms, include pizza, pasta, salads, panini, wraps, and sandwiches, plus a range of bowls like the “Mediterranean vegan” creation prepared with “tomatoes, artichokes, olives, chickpeas topped with arugula over brown rice” and the “peppercorn crusted steak bowl” featuring “bell peppers, broccoli, pickled red onions, and homemade balsamic glaze.”
Betty’s Bistro, 6496 S. Medical Center St., Suite 102, 702-463-2808. Open daily from 7 a.m to 7 p.m, serving from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and closed on Sundays.
