San Diego’s ¡Salud! Tacos, a self-described “Chicano Food Eatery,” opens its first out-of-state restaurant in March when it debuts at Palace Station filled with tattoo-inspired murals and pinstripe car hoods on the walls.
The restaurant has been a huge hit on the West Coast, and plans to open another San Diego location soon in the Midway District. The taqueria known for promoting local artists features a menu of ceviche and mulitas, plus a full roster of tacos, such as the califas topped with choice of meat and French fries, the beer-battered catfish, and the barrio created with carne guisado topped with frijoles, nopal, and sour cream.
The restaurant joins recent new addition Mumfresh Asian Eats with counter-service Vietnamese street food from Boathouse Asian Eatery, also at the resort.
