Sharky’s Woodfired Mexican Grill, the Southern California favorite for more than 25 years, closed its first location in Las Vegas at the corner of Fort Apache Road and Charleston Boulevard in the former Mac Shack space.

“Sharky’s Woodfired Mexican Grill on West Charleston has closed as we focus our efforts on our Sharky’s Modern Mexican Kitchen location at Blue Diamond and Decatur,” management says in a statement through a spokesperson.

The menu featured tacos and burritos, nachos, enchiladas, power plates, and salads using organic, non-GMO, hormone-free ingredients. Vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free dining options were available.

Sharky’s opened in 2017 in the space, and last year, debuted a second location at Blue Diamond Road and Decatur Boulevard.

In other restaurant closing news, both Las Vegas locations of the Asian-inspired local favorite Bachi Burger have temporary closing signs posted. Both the Village Square and Windmill Lane location, which also has Shoku Ramen-ya attached, sported the signs. No reason for the closing was given.

Bachi Burger closed its third location in Las Vegas in 2014. Bachi Healthy Life Kitchen, a.k.a. HLK, closed in April 2014. Originally only open for breakfast and lunch and serving a more health-conscious menu, after four months the experiment went on hiatus before returning at the end of the year as Bachi Burger.
