See Both Sides of the Cosmopolitan’s New Boozy Barbershop Before It Opens

One part barbershop, one part swanky cocktail lounge, and all found off the casino floor at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The new speakeasy The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails from Clique Hospitality opens on Friday night with a barbershop at the front and a cocktail lounge with live music from Bush, led by singer Gavin Rossdale on opening night, followed by Dennis Quaid & The Shark’s rock ‘n’ roll and country-soul sound on Friday, March 22, and the R&B sounds of Robin Thicke on March 30.

Customers make their way into the club first by walking through the barbershop side of the venue, a throwback grooming parlor by day. Master barber Jose Sosa and his grooming team offer classic cuts, beard trims, or straight razor shaves.

Then they come to a secret entrance marked the Janitor’s Closet to the cocktail lounge, where they find a mahogany bar from Kentucky originally built in the 1800s and a barrel-aged whiskey selection ranging from American, Japanese, Irish, and Canadian whiskeys to bourbons and scotches. Craft beer and other sipping spirits including tequila, mezcal, and Champagne make the menu as well.

Overhead, crystal chandeliers, while a “now-you-see-it-now-you-don’t performance stage” sits at the far end of the room.

The Barbershop takes over the former Bond space at the resort.
