In a very quick turnaround, the replacement for shuttered Leticia’s Mexican Cocina in Centennial Hills has set an opening timetable for its Oaxaca, Mexico-inspired menu.
Created by the Wild Thyme Restaurant Group, Ben’zaa Cantina is now on schedule for a debut “in the early part of April,” at The Village of Centennial Springs. It joins a collection of retail tenants and the current, sole dining option, Streets of NY Pizza.
Restaurateurs Wild Thyme locally operate Hamptons at Tivoli Village and the Caribe Lounge at the Cancun Resort, and the move to the northwest will offer “a modern approach on traditional Oaxacan-style culinary, using generations of authentic recipes.” Also promised, “great tequilas y mezcal,” plus “house made tortillas and chips” and tortillas made “from scratch daily.”
A short walk from Ben’zaa, Egg Works plans to unveil a built-from-scratch 5,535-square-foot breakfast and lunch restaurant during the third quarter.
Leticia’s was a fixture at the Farm Road corner space for more than a decade and is now located at the Fiesta Henderson. Earlier this year, owner Leticia Mitchell told Eater Vegas she was still searching for a new Centennial location.
