Moving into the New Orleans Square section of the Commercial Center, Catchers Fish House will soon debut a self-described “fish and chip foodie spot,” plus an expanded menu featuring “hot Nashville” chicken, tacos, and “shrimp on a stick.”
Located on the southern side of the center, also accessible via Karen Avenue, Catchers takes over a ground-floor space in building D, once occupied by The Bass Cafe Grill & Terrace.
Joining an eclectic mix of art galleries, businesses, and retailers, the “fun environment” restaurant is currently hiring and promoting future hours of 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
Built around a “secret family recipe’ imported from San Diego, many of Catchers dishes will be hand-breaded every day and cooked to order.
Yet to announce an exact opening date, menu hints include appetizers of popcorn shrimp or chicken, and shrimp served on a stick. “Gold Fish Basket” meals arrive with fries, coleslaw, and a drinks, with options of red snapper, catfish, and soft shell crab.
Snapper and catfish can be added to the tacos and among the sandwiches, a shrimp po’boy and a Nashville chicken sandwich delivering a spicy “heat.”
