Scenic Brewing Co. Debuts on the Westside

Replacing the shuttered Old School Brewing Co. on the westside, Scenic Brewing Co. has debuted its 8,879-square-foot “craft brewery, sports bar & globally-inspired full menu restaurant.”

Located at the southeast edge of the Desert Inn Road and Durango Commercial Center, the locally focused and kid-friendly space offers 19 craft beers on tap, all devoted to Nevada microbrews.

Five of the selections are created in-house, by Scenic’s head brewer Jamie Roberts, with a roster currently promised to include a “Blonde Ale, American Brown Ale, Lemon Ginger Hefe, Imperial Coffee Stout and the Yeast Bud India Pale Ale.”

Featuring a kids’ menu and Saturday and Sunday brunch available from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., sports fans can watch local teams on the restaurants 33 TV screens and enjoy happy hour specials Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

On the menu, appetizers include the $10.95 bratwurst, a $9.25 “jumbo Bavarian pretzel,” beer steam mussels and Mediterranean hummus. Flatbread choices can also be made gluten-free for an additional $1 charge.

Burgers include the “Battle Born BBQ” priced at $13.95, created with “porchetta, house slaw, ale BBQ and crispy onion,” or guests can opt for a crispy pork tenderloin, schnitzel sandwich.

Entrees include steaks, pasta, ribs, grilled Atlantic Salmon a “beer-brined half roasted chicken.”
