The changes keep coming at the MGM Grand. Fiamma, the Italian restaurant at the resort, closes on March 24. The restaurant last went through brief renovations in August 2014. MGM Resorts says a new, unspecified Italian restaurant takes over the space this summer.
Italian chef Michael White was originally behind Fiamma, and the New York City location earned a Michelin Star. White was named Esquire’s Best New Chef in 2002. That restaurant, which was part of the BR Guest group of restaurants, closed in 2009.
Greek Sneek opened at the back of Crush last summer, while China Tang debuted last February.
Fellini’s Ristoranté Italiano at the newly renamed Strat closes on March 31. The restaurant originally opened in 2004 with a menu of classic and contemporary recipes from all regions of Italy from executive chef Joseph Siano.
