Combining a large Japanese menu with chance to win a kawaii prize, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is headed to the Shanghai Plaza on Spring Mountain’s Road, upgrading each diner’s conveyor belt experience with a chance to go home with a bikkura-pon capsule gift.
Currently hiring, Kura is now estimating a “June or July” debut for its first Nevada expansion, joining its 20 U.S. locations and almost 400 restaurants in Japan.
Pre-prepared dishes move around the restaurant inside a container with a flip-up lid known as “Mr. Fresh.” Diners who want to place a special order — including ramen, udon, and tempura choices — have access to a touch-panel terminal at each seat and the food is swiftly delivered via a direct conveyor belt.
Customers place their empty plates into a slot at each seat and after returning 15 dishes, they receive a small prize, including stickers, small collectible figures, and replica pieces of sushi.
