Confident enough to post an opening date countdown clock on its website and even create a YouTube video celebrating its pending Feb. 10 debut, China’s Dagu Rice Noodle is currently delayed in its move to Spring Mountain Road.
The first U.S. expansion for “China’s most popular noodle brand,” is still hiring and requiring some staff to be fluent in both Chinese and English.
Moving into the highly anticipated Shanghai Plaza, Dagu Rice will face stiff competition for diner’s dining dollars from the retail hub’s growing selection of restaurant imports. Among the names make a move to Las Vegas, Pepper Lunch, Yummy Rice, 85C Bakery Cafe, and the Kura Revolving Sushi Bar.
Already a hit in Canada, Dagu’s specialty dishes include “endless refillable bowls” of noodle soup prepared with a braised, bone-in, pork broth, delivered to the table boiling hot, in a similar style to a hot pot.
Announced future opening hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the week and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. from Friday to Sunday. An updated opening timetable has not been revealed.
