Chinatown's still under construction Shanghai Plaza keeps luring cult favorite dining concepts to Spring Mountain Road. And the next tenant to be confirmed has been generating long lines of eager customers at L.A.’s California Market since December.

Myungrang Hot Dog will be importing its “street food” style to suite 101 at the plaza later this year with a menu based around deep-fried hot dogs served on a stick.

The Korean spin on a corn dog adds unusual ingredients for the adventurous, but customers can also choose a more traditional meat, or mozzarella and sausage.

Other options include sausages covered in cheddar cheese, and batter and deep-fried potato pieces, or customers can try “the one of kind hot dog that looks like a squid!,” prepared with a “special batter made with squid-ink with a thick layer of mozzarella cheese and a layer of sausage waiting for you at the bottom.”

The Koreatown kiosk completes the menu with a “traditional Korean rice drink,” lemonade, and fishcake soup.

Yet to be announced by the brand, a future opening date or operating hours have not been revealed.
