Introducing the northwest to “a modern approach on traditional Oaxacan-style” dining, Ben’zaa Cantina arrives this week at The Village of Centennial Springs.
Right on schedule, the concept from the Wild Thyme Restaurant Group replaces the former home of Leticia’s Mexican Cocina on Wednesday, April 17, debuting a menu collated from “generations of authentic recipes.”
Easy to spot at the corner of Farm Road and Norman Rockwell Lane, the restaurant sits a short distance from the casual Italian dishes of Streets of New York and the under-construction future site of Egg Works’ fifth local expansion.
The cantina has yet to reveal its opening hours, or a full menu, but has previously shared it will feature molé prepared with “20 ingredients,” “great tequilas y mezcal,” “house made tortillas and chips,” tortillas made “from scratch daily,” plus flan available for dessert.
Wild Thyme locally operates Hamptons at Tivoli Village and the Caribe Lounge at the Cancun Resort. Leticia’s Cocina & Cantina has since moved back to the region and is now open daily at the Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino.
