The District at Green Valley Ranch lands a new wine bar, planning to open in the middle of May. The Local, from Me Gusta Tacos owners Chris Connors and Li Hsun Sun and local real-estate agent Randy Maher and his wife Amy Maher, plans to serve wines from Sonoma, Santa Maria, and Napa, California, that typically can’t be found at grocery stores.
Beers, tequilas, rums, and scotches as well as a list of classic martinis and Champagne join a menu of light fare such as charcuterie, bruschetta, panini, and salads.
Bruschetta choices feature fig jam, Granny Smith apples, and brie; roasted red peppers and goat cheese; smoked salmon; egg salad, smashed avocado; and homemade chicken salad. Diners can order a panini with prosciutto and Swiss; sun-dried tomato aioli, feta, roasted turkey breast, and artichoke hearts; smoked turkey breast and brie cheese; salami, prosciutto, and red peppers; or roasted chicken breast and basil pesto.
Three different boards cover veggies, cheese, and a mix with meat.
The 1,000-square-foot wine bar sits between Bath & Body Works and Chico’s.
