The newest debut at Chinatown's Shangahi Plaza has opened its double doors to serve up a tea-focused menu prepared in very tall containers.
Taking over a prominent, ground-floor corner space, Tea Maison’s compact interior features a pink-hued decor and limited patio-style, indoor seating.
The current limited food options include a collection of pre-packaged Asian snacks, but the main attractions are the teas and slushes.
“Fresh brew tea” priced at $4.75 can be upgraded with cheese foam for an additional 75 cents, featuring flavors of honey jasmine green tea, “Four Season,” oolong and and “Black Jade.”
Milk teas all cost $4.50 with tiramisu foam toppings available for an extra charge, to add to favorites like matcha, Hokkaido, taro, or almond. Fruit fans can enjoy the $4.99 strawberry cheese, “grapefruit green” and avocado drinks, while an early success has been the “Maison Specials,” including a taro cake milk drink, “brûlée matcha,” and the “brown sugar boba milk.”
Tea Maison, 4284 Spring Mountain Road, Suite D-108, 702-954-4613. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., closing at midnight on Friday and Saturday.
