Travelers headed through Terminal 1 at McCarran International Airport can’t miss the current series of construction changes and upgrades. And hidden behind one of the many, temporary plywood walls, the sixth local home for Shake Shack is officially confirmed to be on its way.
Original paperwork filed back in March placed the sixth local outpost for the burger kings in the “Rotunda” section of the terminal, a short walk after security and an unmissable focal point that leads to the two corridors linked to A, or B gates.
Serving Allegiant, American, Delta, Southwest, and Spirit airlines, fast-casual dining options in this section of Terminal 1 include 360° Gourmet Burrito, Port of Subs and Great Steak.
An exact site for the new home of Shack burgers, crinkle-cut fries, and frozen custard has not been revealed, but new posters in this area are advertising Shake Shack is “coming soon.”
Since its arrival on the Strip in late 2014, the elevated burger restaurant has rapidly expanded to five Las Vegas locations including Henderson and T-Mobile Arena, with the global brand’s portfolio of airport outposts now found at JFK in New York, Phoenix Sky Harbor, LAX in Los Angeles, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, LaGuardia in New York, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
