Shizen, the Japanese restaurant with a sushi bar and teppanyaki tables at the JW Marriott, closes on May 1, but already the resort on the westside has a replacement in the works.
Jade Asian Kitchen & Noodles plans to open at the resort this summer with Chinese, Japanese, and pan-Asian cuisines on the menu. A private teppanyaki room, a robata grill, and a sushi bar are all part of the restaurant as it goes through a short renovation.
In the meantime, Shizen serves one last round of all-you-can-eat sushi on Sunday and Monday for $29 per person.
Also in the works, a renovation of Rampart Buffet.
In 2017, JW Marriott opened its steakhouse, Hawthorn Grill. At the time, that marked the first new restaurant at the resort in five years. Steakhouse fare and American classics, along with breakfast and brunch, make the menu.
