Two years since first revealed to be headed to the Las Vegas Strip, new updates hint San Francisco’s The Slanted Door may finally debut this summer.
Created by award-winning chef Charles Phan, the substantial 8,200-square-foot project is currently hiring for a general manager to oversee the “cutting edge” Vietnamese restaurant.
Located on the ground floor, Las Vegas Boulevard entrance of the Forum Shops at Caesars, mall operators Simon Property Group are also announcing the highly anticipated arrival is now “expected to open as of 6/30/2019.”
Already Shaun King, the former executive chef at Momofuku at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, takes over the kitchen at the restaurant.
The first expansion outside of the Bay Area for The Slanted Door Group parent company, the “vibrant home-style Vietnamese food” will sit on the opposite site of the Forum Shops entryway to another newcomer in the works, True Food Kitchen and its health-conscious, Oprah Winfrey-endorsed menu.
