Following news of “elevated sports bar” Hardway 8 debuting on Henderson’s Water Street, comes late word of the closing of another recent arrival to the neighborhood.
Hades Grill opened in August of last year and was considered a positive sign of the Water Street District’s revitalization as a dining destination for both locals and diners around the region.
Facing the CSN Henderson campus and sitting next door to an earlier success story, Public Works Coffee Bar, Hades Grill co-creator Monica Martinez thanked, “the City of Henderson, fellow Water Street businesses and the community” for their support during its brief tenure.
The closure comes three months after the demise of another well promoted launch. Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Vinny’s Pizza has been now transformed into the Water Street Pizzeria after it lost its namesake rapper and reality-star hype man back in January.
Among an ambitious slate of projects still in the works, a mixed-use apartment, tavern, restaurant and retail complex located across the street from the new Hardway 8 bar.
