The Hard Rock Hotel is already making moves ahead of its conversion into the Virgin Hotel into 2020. Culinary Dropout, the gastropub from Scottsdale-based Fox Restaurant Concepts at the resort that opened in 2012, closed. Already the resort converted the restaurant into Craft + Community Bar & Grill.
Some of the dishes from Culinary Dropout changed. The menu features avocado toast, fish and chips, braised short rib nachos, and meatloaf. A fried chicken dish comes with green Hatch chili mac and cheese, while the burger features Vermont cheddar, applewood bacon, and an optional egg. Some charcuterie and oyster bar dishes remain, but those chips and dip, pretzels and provolone dip, and chicken and biscuits are gone, as is brunch.
Since the restaurant is a rebranding, the look remains the same with a lounge atmosphere, garage-style doors that roll up to expose the patio, and live entertainment.
Fox, which did not return an email for comment, still has North Italia and Flower Child in Rampart Commons.
Craft + Community Bar & Grill, Hard Rock Hotel, 4455 Paradise Road, 702-522-8100. Open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday until midnight, Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
