Just as the final games in March Madness get set to play, Frankie’s Uptown opens at Downtown Summerlin with a neighborhood bar from owner Frankie Lee.
The bar, which takes over the former Casa de Matador space at the outdoor shopping mall, features high ceilings, vintage fixtures, brick walls, and casual seating.
Lee created the menu from family recipes. Dishes include the stroll, a cross between a calzone and stromboli. The Knight stroll comes with seasoned meats and cheeses served with marinara, while the Summerlin stroll features sautéed spinach and a blend of cheeses. On weekends diners can order the morning stroll with pepperoni, scrambled eggs, and cheese.
Italian sushi starts with carpaccio rolled with arugula, pesto sauce, and sun-dried tomatoes and then served sliced. Burgers and a pulled pork sandwich round out the menu.
The bar features a Vegas Golden Knights-themed pool table, shuffleboard, and chess.
Frankie’s Uptown, Downtown Summerlin, 1770 Festival Plaza Drive #190, 702-228-2766. Open Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
